Conference Abstract
Sharon Knight QHP. MA. FAPAI.
During the course of our one-day workshop we will look at how to quickly and accurately
delineate a chart in a few simple steps, including some predictive timing techniques which
you can use without resource to a computer. You will leave your clients amazed at how well
you seem to know them after just 15 minutes consultation!
For some of you it may be going over old ground, but, as I have discovered through
attending many workshops myself there is always something new to learn, even if it is just a
different way of assessing a chart. The techniques we will cover can also be applied to
Mundane and Electional astrology.
We will start the day going over Sect, Triplicities and Dignities: what they are and how to use
them. We also look at the merits of the counting system that is commonly used in traditional
astrology.
The second and main part of the workshop will be “Getting to the Heart of the Chart”.
In this section we will look at focusing on the lead planet, its companions and using
astronomical cycles to enable you to quickly assess times of importance. We will also
incorporate the technique of Profections so you can tell your clients which part of life may be
in focus for the coming year.
As well as working with a few “celebrity” examples, I hope those attending will bring along
their own charts so we can work on them together and hopefully you will be amazed at how
such simple techniques can give brilliant, accurate results and answers.
I am so looking forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with you all. It should be
fun with plenty of laughter and opportunity to share our own experiences.
Short Biography
Sharon has worked as a qualified, professional astrologer for over 30 years with a global client base. She began her studies with the world renowned Faculty of Astrology up to Diploma level, before qualifying as a QHP with Olivia Barclay. She gained her MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology in 2004. She’s a Fellow of the Association of Professional Astrologers International (www.professionalastrologers.co.uk) and has been Chair of the Association for over a decade. Sharon has her own course teaching Traditional Predictive Astrology (Dip. TPA) and is also a Tutor and Convenor for the original QHP course in Horary
Astrology.
In 2016 Sharon won the Coveted Astrologer of the Year title in India. Sharon is one of the few astrologers worldwide to have correctly predicted Trumps victory in 2016, (although she got it wrong in 2020!) as well as Brexit, David Cameron becoming Prime Minister and other mundane predictions.
In the past, Sharon taught Astrology at Adult Education classes and has spoken at various Conferences both in the UK and overseas, as well as teaching for various schools in the UK, Taiwan and Turkey. She’s written columns for women’s magazines, newspapers and astrological journals, and for 11 years had a regular slot on local radio discussing astrology and world events. Sharon is one of only three professional astrologers in the UK who just uses the seven naked eye planets as used by all astrologers up until the 18 th Century.
